Welcome to Midwest Cheer Elite where we make “dreams come true!”

There are really not enough words I can say to explain the experience my daughter and I have had at Midwest Cheer Elite. I came from a very small gym last year and to walk into a gym as big as MCE was intimidating! We didn’t know if my daughter would be welcomed or even remembered. We weren’t sure if they would even acknowledge the skills she had or if she would be looked over because she is new and we came in the middle of the season.

When we walked in the owner herself welcomed us, took my daughter out to meet the coach that would evaluate her. Once she was done Dexter came out with a huge smile and said WE WANT HER. Within a week the office manager, Ms. Joyce, knew my name, my daughters name, what team she’s on, what classes she was taking. The owner, Tanya, was the same way. Every coach knew who Kayla was, not because she was some phenomenal athlete, but because that is what MCE does. We automatically became family to the gym.

If you want a gym that is going to put your child where YOU want them to be or where your child wants, I will tell you that will not happen and this is not the gym for you. My daughter does not get put in the what I thought was highlighted places like she did at the small gym and I won’t lie it’s an adjustment that I still struggle with, BUT If your looking for a gym that will make you child shine no matter where they are put and a gym that makes your child a stronger athlete and person that will meet their goals in this sport, then trust me MCE is the place for you.

We recently moved to Midwest Cheer Elite after spending several seasons at smaller gyms. We were unsure what to expect. We had many fears about moving to a big gym and many preconceived ideas. After our first week at the gym, all those fears were wiped away. Midwest has been a wonderful change for our kids. Yes, they are big and yes there are a large number of kids and families. However, not one time have we felt as though we were just a number!

The resources and support available to all the athletes is outstanding. The staff is so supportive and knowledgeable and they go out of their way to help the kids grow and believe in themselves. You don’t just have two or three coaches, you have a whole team of them, working for the interest of all the kids in the gym not just the ones on their teams. My kids have grown so much since we joined Midwest. Their confidence and love for the sport has been re-built. Moving to Midwest was one of the best decisions we have made. We only wish we would have done it sooner.

My daughter fell in love with cheer in kindergarten. She started sideline cheer for the local youth football league. Not long after we were at our local gym taking tumbling classes. We joined a limited travel all star team and participated on that team for 2 years. My daughter’s love for the sport grew and after her second season she wanted more. We joined the full travel team.

Our local gym was small, we ended up staying there for 3 more seasons. Though my daughter’s love for cheer was still there, something seemed to be off with her. Her skills were progressing, slowly. There were mumblings of switching gyms, but we were met with talk of, “you’re only a number at those big gyms” or “there is no sense of family at those other gyms.” We started another season at our small family gym…but we didn’t finish it.

In September we decided to try Midwest Cheer Elite. From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed with open arms. All the reasons we were given to stay at our small gym suddenly held no validity. My child has regained her passion. She has excelled beyond my highest expectations. We are finishing our second season with our new family gym, Midwest Cheer Elite. My child has been given lessons to improve her cheer skills as well as lessons to improve her life skills. She has created bonds with other athletes and coaches and parents that will last much longer than her time on the mat. And as a parent, I cannot want more for my child than that.
